Data deletion instructions
You can ask Heat Engineer Software Ltd to delete your personal data, including data received through our Facebook and Instagram connections. You do not need to sign in to make a request.
How to request deletion
- Email support@heat-engineer.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. If possible, send it from the email address you use for Heat Engineer.
- Include your name, your Heat Engineer account email address and what you want deleted: your Facebook or Instagram connection data, specific personal data, or your whole Heat Engineer account. For a connected account, include the Facebook Page name or link, or your Instagram username, so we can find it.
- Send the email. Our support team will confirm your request and may ask for information to verify that the data belongs to you. Never send us your password or Facebook or Instagram access tokens.
What happens to your data
For a Facebook or Instagram deletion request, we remove the connection and associated personal data held by Heat Engineer, including stored access credentials, account identifiers, profile details and any associated content or insights received from Meta. If you request deletion of your whole Heat Engineer account, we also review the personal data held for that account.
We respond without undue delay, normally within one calendar month. If we need to verify your identity or need more time for a complex request, we will explain this by email. We confirm when deletion is complete. You can reply to the same email thread at any time to ask about progress.
Some records may need to be kept for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons. If any of your requested data must be retained, we will explain what is kept and why. Data in backups is isolated from further use until it can be deleted, as described in our privacy policy.
Removing Facebook or Instagram access
You can also remove Heat Engineer from the apps, websites or business integrations in your Facebook or Instagram settings to stop future access. Removing access does not by itself delete information already held by Heat Engineer; send the deletion request above to have that information removed.
Deleting data held by Heat Engineer does not delete your Facebook or Instagram account or posts already published on those platforms. You can manage those directly with Facebook or Instagram.
